As the world moves in the field of technology faster than ever, we have decided to modernize our own campus with the help of IoT, IBM Bluemix and Mr.Watson by automating various aspects of our campus, so that we (students) and strangers visiting our campus can be comfortable and enjoy the services equipped.
Description:
For this concept, we have used blue-mix platform powered by IBM. The gateway here is combination of arudino and raspberry pi.
Student block:
We are discussing the various blocks and its flows. What happens if a student swipes his RFID at different places of our smart campus.

At entrance:


At entrance it remains the same for both in and out. Schedule message only changes in the morning it will text you or mail you the venues, tasks that has a deadline the same day. In evening it will send you the tasks that have the deadline tomorrow and also updates the database with the time of departure(exit).

At library
RFID swipe at library will result in the Registration that is the time you have entered the library, Intimation and collection of dues by cashless card payment and also Mr.Watson will help you in suggesting the books by reviews and teachers recommendation in accordance with the syllabus and your personal preferences along with other details of the book.

At cafeteria:

RFID swipe at cafeteria will make a cashless card payment and also the user can make reservations and other things through ASK AT Mr.Watson placed in the campus.It will also show you suggestions on combos available. If user allows access Watson to his/her personal account the Watson can even place an order for you.

At Laboratories and Classrooms:

RFID swipe at Labs and classrooms will intimate Watson about their presence and also the electrical appliances will be controlled by Watson along with manual overrides.

ASK TO Mr.Watson:
These are stands like our ATM Machines It will have a very good interface with the swipe of RFID you can do various things,listed below are some:
·         Viewing academic details
·         Viewing attendance details
·         Future and Previous tasks
·         Position of the college bus
·         Managing his/her account for cashless payment. ..And soooo on.

       Faculties block:


Each and every block is the same for the Faculties also, with additional features on the database, like attendance and current position of their students can also be seen by the faculties. In case of library faculties will have unlimited access to books and no return dates and  things like that but the RFID determines everything. Each of the block will also have messaging services for faculties.
Bus block:
At entrance and bus depos

The RFID tag in the buses acts as an access card for accessing various information such as entry and exit details. This tag which is identified by RF module sends the data to gateway which gets the data from cloud and displays it to the required user.



Temperature sensing block:
The temperature sensor connected gives the temperature of the surroundings and sends the data to gateway and uploads it to the cloud and intimates to the user to take action based on readings.

Water quality check:
The temperature sensor connected gives the temperature of the surroundings and sends the data to gateway and uploads it to the cloud and intimates to the user to take action based on readings.

Face Recognition:
The camera connected captures the image of the surroundings and process the image and sends the processed data to gateway and uploads it to the cloud and intimates the presence of the person inside the campus.
What We have achieved till now?
We have used Raspberry pi and Arduino as of now  to see the RFID Tags sensed and data being pushed to the cloud using node red.And also we have uploaded the CPU-temperature of Raspberry pi we are using to the cloud to show the smart systems can be done easily.


The temperature of the raspberry pi can also be measured using red-node diagram:
